OUTLET OF THE MONTH

Christian was very helpful on our Wedding Day at Vineyard at HortPark. He was quick to act on any feedback or changes necessary and worked very well with the rest of his team to ensure the event ran smoothly. We felt very at ease with Christian running the restaurant and event, as we focused on enjoying ourselves and mingled with our guests. Big kudos to Christian and his team!

Celebrated my nephew’s great decision to be engaged at Vineyard. We had a lovely time discussing heart matters in a lovely ambience, good service but it is the food that crowns the visit. Delicate presentation of the two set lunches was not compromised when we ordere Manzo. The chocolate tart with the chamomile tea plus hot chocolate made the strawberry dessert a wanton desire. Vineyard remains a notch above others.

I would like to commend one of your staff, Monica, from Bangkok Jam Marina Square. My family had lunch at that branch today and we received really great service from her. She showed plenty of initiative, giving us children cutlery and water without our asking, and she was attentive and very friendly. She knows your new menu well and helped us find suitable food from the menu, especially for our young children. When she saw we couldn’t finish our food she initiated packing it up for us to take home as well.

All in all, our experience today was very pleasant, largely because of her good service. Please commend her on our behalf and let her know we appreciated her attentiveness to our needs.

I was at Suki-Ya at I12 Katong having dinner to celebrate my dad’s birthday. It was a good and pleasant experience despite the busy dinner crowd the store is facing. We Just ate at Eat @ Taipei  Tampines Mall. Would like to praise your waiter Mun Kit, we eat out very often and have not encountered such proactive service – he runs around to ensure people get their food quickly. And he was so apologetic when our food was slightly delayed, which wasn’t even an issue with us. We think he’s an asset as good wait staff are hard to come by!

This place has a live band, so definitely the vibe tends to be livelier even on quieter weekday nights. Along with the meat, there’s are a salad bar with fruits, carbs and dessert.  My friends had the 100 minute beer and BBQ dinner buffet which is really worth it. The free flow of beer and meat helps as well.

I visited Shabuya & Shochu Bar on 13th Jan, 8.30pm and was pleasantly surprised to receive a warm greeting from your staff, Emelyn. She welcomed us and showed us to our seats while maintaining a very pleasant vibe. I noticed that throughout the hectic evening with customers seeking assistance one after another, Emelyn remained very pleasant, and I would even go to the extent to describe her service attitude as enthusiastic. No matter how many times a customer called her, she was consistently attentive and carried an unwavering smile.

Emelyn at Shabuya always makes my visit a pleasant one with her constant smile and efficient service. On one of my visits, we had arrived almost close to the last order and whilst most restaurants would have turned us away, she was kind enough to accommodate us and quickly got us a table and took our orders. The food came quickly and she constantly popped by to check if we needed more before the kitchen closed for the afternoon. Every order made through her was not missed or forgotten. At previous visits, although other staff served us, she never fails to always say hi and acknowledge us. Such small gestures really do go a long way in making us feel at home and important.

Thank you Bangkok Jam dining at Marina Square for the cozy, friendly and efficient experience. It was my first visit at Bangkok Jam Marina Square and I am satisfied to dine here. The senior and staffs were all smily at the entrance. Every individual was cheerful and attentive. They took pride in what they have to do, from the kitchen to the frontline. After we were seated, water were served before we even noticed it. Food was served fast and hot and ingredients were fresh. I’d like to compliment the crew by the name Zhi Ming, was pretty self-driven & helpful young man. He was patient and calm to recommend the best sellers on the menu, shared promo for birthday months, members’ privileges to my guest and myself at the end of bill check. He made tiny effort and it meant a lot to us, I believe he benefits the company for good and as a team-player in many ways. My guest were pleased and I enjoyed the evening. It’s our first time dining at Bangkok Jam Plaza Singapura, my husband and I were hesitant about the menu but the staff by the name of Wella helped us a lot. At the same time, there was also an eventful sharing session where we answered some of the burning questions students have for the industry.

Learning Journey with Republic Polytechnic

Creative Eateries concluded an educative learning journey with the students of Republic Polytechnic, sharing various insights to the company’s procurement process.

Visiting various Creative Eateries restaurants over the span of 4 days, students were given a detailed walk-through of the procurement process conducted by our very own in-house chefs and restaurant managers.

Being one of the direct users of the company’s procurement system, restaurant managers had the opportunity to share some of their learning outcomes with students through these sessions.

Here in Creative Eateries, we believe knowledge is most useful when shared, and we are beyond honoured to be part of the student’s valuable learning journey.

Master Class with Nanyang Polytechnic

Creative Eateries have the opportunity to shake things up (pun-intended) for the students of Nanyang Polytechnic earlier this month!

Over the course of two Master Class sessions on 18 and 19 January, our Group’s executive chef, Chef Immanuel, held a cozy live demonstration for the group of student to prepare a Mint Yuzu Sphere Shooter.

After a detailed demonstration by Chef Immanuel, students are all set to make themselves a glass!

For a start, students are required to prepare the alginate bath for the spherification, followed by the yuzu liquid. After which, we are ready to create the sphere!

The intricate process of making the sphere involves the careful mixture of the alginate bath and yuzu liquid, before setting it to rest.

Last but not least, it’s time to shake things up by preparing the mint mocktail concoction!

And voila! Everyone is happy with their very own Mint Yuzu Sphere Mocktail!

Despite the challenging process, it has been an informative lesson filled with fun and laughter. We are definitely looking forward to another exciting learning journey in the near future!

When we arrive at Barrosa and announced ourselves, Chris was immediately notified and showed us to our table. He sensed that we were not comfortable with the choice as it was loud and immediately offered another seating outside of the restaurant, and much quieter. Patara Fine Thai Cuisine is one of my favorite restaurants in Singapore. Food is excellent though prices are a little steep. However, they make it up easily by their excellent service. Allow me to compliment you on your food and service at Patara Fine Thai Cuisine, Tanglin Mall on our first visit here. Kim, Mary, Mark, Eric and Raymond served us at different times during our meal. The food was delicious. The flavours were deliciously blended and suited our pallets. Great ambience and presentation. The service was extraordinary and there was a personal attention given to us, when the Manager got to know that it was our 20th wedding anniversary and we were out for a family dinner. The surprise was an Anniversary dessert served complimentary. Dined at Kuro Izakaya. Really enjoyed the Kurobuta Pork Jowl, which was excellently marbled and melt in the mouth. The KURO Pork Ramen had creamy broth but the noodles were not as bouncy, overall would still go again – nwk84

 

Food was good. We had salted egg squid and chili crab. Price is reasonable for 900gms crab. Fremantle Seafood Market is a nice place to hang out and chill with friends. Service was excellent. A must visit place when in Clarke Quay. – Joxua

 

It’s my first time at Barossa – deciding where to eat at esplanade. We found this place and was wonderfully greeted and served by staff Chris. He recommended good items and wine, wasn’t pushy but really was calm polite and checked on us after before meals. He made magic moments for my moms 70th birthday! Chris even ran after us cause my son left his watch on table. He and his team are honest staffs – congratulations on having a team with integrity. We had great memories at Barossa today. My colleague and I had to order the very tender iberico pork chop and light yet flavourful seafood angel hair to share on our every visit because they are just so yummy. Our two dining partners also enjoyed their orders of pizza and beef dish. Vineyard at Hortpark has undergone a recent renovation recently and is brighter and welcoming now. – Tiguan

Vineyard at HortPark is a great place to go with friends, especially if you would like to take a casual walk around HortPark. The food was great and the price was quite reasonable for 2 or 3 course meal. The service was good and wasn’t my first time coming here. The set has three options for the starter and for mains. I would like to compliment 3 of your staff from the Suki-Ya Marina Square Branch for their pleasant and warm customer services. The first staff is Ah Feng, who had patiently explained to us on the ingredients used in the soup base before leading us to the restaurant. I find that this is a nice gesture especially for me as a first time customer. 🙂 Next is Yan Hong, who consistently checked to ensure that our soup is filled, and if there is anything that we need. I brought my family to Suki-Ya Kovan Heartland Mall for dinner. It was the best experience we have had among the other branches of Suki-Ya. The restaurant was not as big as some of the other branches but the staff that served us was surely standing out as the biggest! We had the privilege of being served by the branch Supervisor, Ms. Jerrine. Not only was she extremely attentive to our needs but we could also see that the staff members of the restaurant are working very closely with her. I’m writing in to speak good words on the staff in the outlet at Bukit Panjang Plaza (BPP). Such commendable acts should not go unnoticed. My family and I visited the outlet at BPP to have lunch and have  a small celebration for my mother’s birthday. This was not known by any of the staffs members. It was when we needed help with phototaking that they overheard us talking about my mother’s birthday. They gave us a mock birthday ‘cake’. That pretty much made my mother’s day. On top of that, they gave us a really good service. We like patronizing places that gives this kind of feeling. – Zainal

Eat at Taipei‘s milk tea with pearls was nice & not too sweet. Pan fried dumplings were delicious. The pineapple fried rice had big pieces of chicken. Among the different types of fried rice, Taiwan style fried rice is still the best. Friendly staff, overall experience was fine. – Lim

PROJECT WE CARE – Stay Well with Friends

One of the most significant person who gave her life serving the community, Mother Teresa said, “At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.’ Hungry not only for bread — but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing — but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks — but homeless because of rejection.”   

 For the 4th time Creative Eateries Corporate Social Responsibility event took place at ACE (Admiralty Community Experience) the Place Community Club under the People’s Association Project, We Care on 26th of August 2017.  Serving the needy in the Admiralty area, individuals from different divisions of Creative Eateries came together, represented by members of our Human Resources department, Chefs, Restaurant-in-Charge, Service Staff and our Management Team to provide a little kindness and happiness to the residents.

Many people live by the saying that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” For our contribution, our volunteers served up a sumptuous meal for 300 residents. We also provided some fun and games alongside volunteers the Singapore Sports School.  Creative Eateries volunteers got the chance to assist the beneficiaries while the played at our game booth. We even battled with them and had much opportunity for interaction.

Project We Care Stay Well @ Admiralty – Solar Toy Workshop

Once again on 27 May 2017, Saturday, Creative Eateries had our third Corporate Social Responsibility event together with the ACE (Admiralty Community’s Experience) The Place Community Club under the People’s Association’s Project We Care, this time around, with Fei Yue Community Services.

That bright Saturday morning brought our Accounts, Human Resources department and Corporate Affairs department together for the sake of befriending some of the younger residents in Admiralty CC, assisting Republic Polytechnic students in helping the children with building their Solar Toy robots.

Interacting and guiding our young friends in building their robots, was a chance for our volunteers to get to know the beneficiaries from ACE The Place CC better. It offered a casual and fun opportunity for our team to work together with the kids, as well as lend them a guiding hand with the trickier parts of the project and encouraging them to stay patient, and remain calm under pressure.

The children were excited to build their own robots, most were able to catch on to the manual guide fast, some even faster than  the adult facilitators! The project was definitely a confidence booster and an achievement for many.

After the completion of their robots, there was a friendly robot race match, after which the workshop came to a close. As it was the start of Ramadan that day, Creative Eateries prepared care packages consisting of a variety of fruits, breads, drinks and of course not forgetting 1 box of dates for each family household to bring it home, accordingly to their culture, three dates are eaten to break the fast in emulation of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

I had my lunch meeting at KURO IZAKAYA, Suntec City tower 3. This was my second time at that place since my client’s office is just above. Three of your employees offered a very commendable service. They were Mae, MJ and Jamie. Surprisingly, the said restaurant was also a part of the same company as SUKIYA where I had a memorable dining experience as well. As somebody who came from the F&B industry, I personally know the employees struggles but these people are really giving an amazing service to your customers. There must be something with Creative Eateries’ culture when it comes to grooming your staffs in terms of customer service satisfaction. If you are a non-vegetarian looking for steaks, chops or seafood, try Hot Stones at Clarke Quay! The ingredients are garden-fresh, and you know you’re not eating leftovers because you cook it yourself! What a unique experience! The two of us ordered US Black Angus Sirloin and Salmon Steak. The servers were very friendly and attentive, assisting with the cooking process as needed. Dining on the boat was such a relaxing experience – a perfect evening! – Rosie K

While strolling through the bars and entertainment area at Clarke Quay in Singapore I got hungry and found Fremantle Seafood Market. The restaurant is located directly on the Singapore River and I got a perfect table with a view to the river. The waiters were friendly and the order was processed quickly. My food was very nice and I would definitely recommend the place, since it is also close to some good open-air nightlife spots across the road. – Island Hopper

Just had a wonderful dinner tonight at Bangkok Jam Tiong Bahru Plaza. Was served by this wonderful lady named Aunty Nancy Tan. She was friendly & very helpful. We couldn’t decide on the starter dish and when asked for her recommendation, she looked at what was our main course before suggesting us to go for the Pomelo with prawn salad. Had a dinner with my friend few hours ago at Bangkok Jam Great World City and I would lik etoo compliment the two lovely ladies on duty. We are at the outlet around 7pm, the staff managed to provide an excellent service to us despite the dinner crowd. Staff was so friendly, attentive and was always smiling. We also don’t need to ask or raise our hand to catch their attention because they give us straight away what we need (extra plate to share and table water). Food was great too. I went to Bangkok Jam JEM for the dinner steamboat buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service. In particular, I would like to commend Mr Jason Yang who took the initiative to introduce the options to us and make recommendations. I was very pleasantly surprised with Patara Fine Thai Cuisine during my first visit to the restaurant. As my out of town guest wanted an early dinner, we arrived a little past 6pm during mid-week. The staff was very attentive. We ordered appetisers, salads and Tom Yum soup. All were excellent especially the tacos, soup and I especially enjoyed the fish cake as they were not oily and came puffy unlike many other restaurants serving shrivelled fish cakes. The Pomelo salad was fresh and not salty which suited my tastes. We ordered many dishes to share for mains. Highlights included beef tenderloin, stuffed chicken wings and steam seabass; which reminded me of my days posted in Bangkok. The only down side was our disappointment with mango sticky rice dessert as mangoes were not sweet even though this is mango season in Thailand. I recommend the restaurant for both business and personal. – Chang

Thought I’ll share a quick note on some great feedbacks on Sam who was waitering at Sukiya plaza singapura last Friday, 24 Feb 2017. He is extraordinary and his patience is remarkable. I was waiting for my partner to arrive and he walked me through the options in Sukiya. He also offered time to think about what soup base I wanted and didnt at all pushed me to order despite the time limit. He actually gave me additional 20mins as I only made my order 20mins after i stepped into the restaurant. He went that extra mile by being observant in what my partner and I needed at the table or what to clear so we had more space.  I hope you can relay the good feedback to Sam as I think this will make his day just like how he made mine! Thanks so much – Cheryl

Brought my friends to Sukiya at Marina Square on 22 mar wed evening; it was their first time there (celebrating an occasion). Just want to commend the service of your staff Kian Hong who helped to guide my friends on their first visit: (1) right from the start, he explained the different soups and recommended options when we could not decide. (2) throughout our time there, he managed the space fast and efficiently: even though there were 5 of us on the round table which could be somewhat cramp, he cleared the emptied plates promptly and asked whether we need top ups on drinks and meat. (3) he was proactive in addressing some queries we had on the process and where to find stuff. (4) at the end of day, he also recommended us to visit the other sukiya restaurants if we are too far from marina square. All in all, Kian Hong made a difference and alleviated my initial concern about hosting friends at sukiya because buffet self help setting can get a little unnerving for big groups.
